About this place
Try the cold-brew coffee on its own, with a strawberry croissant on the side. At Oji Coffee, it makes for a relaxed break centred on the coffee. One customer recalled subtle sweetness from the beans and a clean finish, saying the cold brew was the sort of drink they could happily have cup after cup without adding anything. They enjoyed it with a strawberry croissant.
The iced-coffee selection includes cold brew, a pleasantly bitter style and a fresh iced coffee described as being aged after brewing. Another customer called the bitter version robust, without noticeable acidity. If you want to compare styles, you might start by choosing between the clean taste of cold brew and a cup that puts bitterness more forward.
For hot coffee, the menu includes blends such as Mild Blend, Mocha Blend and Oji Special Deep Roast, alongside single-origin coffees from different growing regions. One customer who wanted something low in acidity was recommended Mandheling Bataku and enjoyed its full-bodied flavour. There is also the pleasure of choosing with your preferences in mind: listed single origins include Brazil Bourbon, Ethiopia Yirgacheffe and Kenya AA Kuo Koatenbo. Start with a blend or use a bean’s name as a guide. If the range feels daunting, you could ask for a coffee that suits your preference for acidity or body.
For something sweet, there is also matcha cake. One customer described it as small but with a substantial crumb, and paired it with Mandheling Bataku. Breakfast and light meals are available, and you can eat in or take your order away.
